Vehicle Description: If you are looking for the fully restored classic muscle convertible, then look no further. This beauty has it all... and all new, too, with only 4930 miles on the bumper to bumper restoration. The body has been blocked, primed, and painted with PPG base coat clear coat and looks fantastic. Then all new chrome was installed including new door handles, bumpers, gas cap, light bezels, wiper arms, and a custom billet grill. Also all new weatherstripping was installed after completing the paint job. The wiring is all new and in perfect working order with upgraded zeon headlights and cd player with Infinity speakers. The interior is perfect and all new; carpet, seats, door panels, dash, interior paint, all chrome pieces, and even the dash has all new guages. The top is brand new as well and goes up and down with ease. Here is something that you don’t see every day! A SUPER SHARP 1969 MUSTANG GRANDE! So…. you say that you’ve seen enough convertibles, fastbacks & standard hard top coupes? Check out this amazing RARE {65-E Code} 1969 Mustang Grande! As you can imagine this unique pony seems to capture everyone’s attention when she hits the road! No matter where this one makes an appearance it never fails to spark a random conversation. The phrase rare opportunity is thrown around quite loosely in today's classic car market place. Therefore I will let this classic Mustangs history speak for itself. To start: I purchased this antique Ford from the original owner. He remembers the day that he walked into the local dealership to order it. He explained how he beamed with excitement as he counted the days down for it arrival. He also mentioned how he came close to giving up on it. He stated that he was going just settle with a Cougar at the same dealership. At the end of the day he was rewarded for his patience when he drove home the car of his dreams! This particular gentleman had owned a 1965 Mustang previously and had actually grown accustom to the feel of driving his pony without power steering or disc brakes. That being said mostly every Grande came equipped with the previously mentioned options as standard. His peculiar taste left him longing for a Grande Mustang {which he was excited about since the commercials debuted}, but he wanted one with manual steering “a mans car”. This is the Mustang that God so Blessed him with! The Mustang Grande made its debut in 1969. It was created to express Fords ability to produce a Mustang that combined both luxury and performance. Luxury appointments included the deluxe interior which consisted of a: Rim blow steering, console, deluxe instrument panel, molded deluxe door panels {with courtesy lights}, electric clock, dome light and much more! Let me 1st say that this magnificent Mustang came from the factory with an original {Code-D Pastel Gray} exterior. The factory color was a little to bland for the original owner so later on down the road when a paint job was needed he spiced things up a bit. It is still close to factory specs , but a touch of Ford 1969 Wimbledon white was added to brighten the exterior. It is somewhat subtle yet this blue oval wears the color well! The car has only been painted once outside of its factory covering. The paint was laid down the old school way “HEAVY & THICK”! I am no expert in classifying paint products however; I would venture to say that the material is probably lacquer based. The paint has good continuity throughout and it shines magnificently at any given time of day! I believe that the car can easily hold its own at your local car show. My assessment of this Mustangs paint is that it nice very nice {certainly above driver quality}. The body on this unmolested factory original Mustang is extremely nice as well. Just about everywhere that you take it someone tells you how sweet it is. There are a couple of minor dings that one would expect to find on an old classic that hasn’t been frame off restored. However this pony is much nicer than most! This wonderful Mustang still has the factory Grande pin stripes adjoined to its upper quarters. The bright exterior with black accents look like a match made in heaven on this car {definitely a fan favorite}! The brilliant black vinyl top was reconditioned a short time ago. He explained that the top had faded some over the years and he had promised that he would restore it someday. It has most certainly been brought back to its former glory! No holes, wrinkles or stress marks in this one at all. All of the chrome appointments are in great shape. The rear bumper was replaced with an N.O.S. one. However the front one looks to be original {still has plenty of life}. The running grill horse is new. The door handles and exterior pillar moldings are in great shape. The gas cap, side markers and rocker panel moldings are very presentable Everyone that has come across this special Mustang raves about it! COMPLETELY STOCK 100 % UNMOLESTED! YOU WON’T FIND MANY AROUND LIKE THIS “ESPECIALLY BEING A DOCUMENTED 1 OWNER VEHICLE! No mag wheels, aftermarket hood scoops or flashy spoilers. This one is presented exactly the way Ford designed it! The original owner had many sleepless nights waiting to receive his pony in this exact fashion. The over all fit & finish of this classic Mustang is very nice. The front windshield is in great shape & the remainder of the vehicles glass is in exceptional condition as well. Although I have had several convertible, fastback & Mach 1 cars this one seems to spark more interest than the others. No matter how expensive the other cars may have been this Grande garners a greater appreciation from most Mustang & Ford enthusiast. Even as I made my way to take pictures for this ad admirers where out in full force. This sort of thing happens all the time when you pull the car cover back and take this pony out of the garage. Anyways….. the Grande Mustang interior is considered to be king for the 1969 model year. It is pretty hard to find one that still has the original interior in tact {especially in great shape} as this one is. I must admit that I was even surprised to find the deluxe interior in this car to be as sharp as it was. The original deluxe seat buttons are even still in place {not one missing}! This Grande has the RARE {1AA-Code} Black vinyl / black Hopsack cloth buckets. This is upholstery that you won’t come across too often. Unbelievably there are no holes or damage to report to the original upholstery at all. The original owner kept the upholstery covered throughout the years. He explained how his toddler kept getting in the back seat with candy and the like so in the later years he had upper head rest protectors installed in the rear. Basically the entire interior is in phenomenal condition “especially to be 43 years old”! /center> Amazingly the rim blow wheel is in great shape {horns not blowing}. The seat backs are in magnificent shape and each lever works perfectly. The black deluxe door panels are also in great shape & the courtesy lights actually work! The dash pad is in very good condition however, there are a seams separated at the center {see photos}. This may be the only obvious imperfection throughout the whole interior. The pad isn’t faded or warped like most {still looks great}! The carpet is in good condition & the inner quarter panel upholstery covers have been well preserved. There is a beautiful factory console that separates the driver and passenger’s space. I don’t know why nor did I ask why he placed a screw in the center of it years ago. The mystique that the Grande carries is routed in the fact that some Mustang enthusiast would simply consider it a luxury vehicle. However this pony is no push over. This Mustang came from the factory an [M-Code 351] Motor and original [X-Code FMX] Transmission. This vehicles block is strong! The car really just seems to LOVE the open road! The car will literally burn rubber down the road if you get on it! I have a good friend with a {351 H code} 1969 Mach 1. He has had the pleasure of driving this car once. He was very impressed with it & he still can’t believe that Ford would make an upscale Mustang more powerful than its performance model. This pony is a pleasure to drive and it also has good road manners. There is not a lot of maintenance required thanks to the absence of leaking brake lines & power steering pumps & hoses. This car is very user friendly {6-Code} 3.00:1, Conventional axle. The motor was rebuilt to factory specs in 2004. Once again she’s very powerful “don’t let the smooth taste fool ya”. The factory A/C unit is still in place and it is functioning. The factory upscale {FMX} transmission engages properly through every gear. GREAT TORQUE “a strong runner”! This Mustang has a D.S.O. code of {28-Louisville} which is about short distance from where I picked it up. The car is very much rust free. There is one tiny hole in the passenger drop off where water collects. This Mustang has a solid underbody! *Solid floors, torque boxes, and frame rails* All of the original watermarks & serial numbers are still present on this vintage Stangs panels. You won’t find many who can say that they still have the original title! That’s right this Mustangs certificate of ownership has never been changed over. Truly a RARE piece! Hi, I am selling my GT500 convertible as I have purchased a home and wife says car must go. The car is really a one older adult owner(me) as I got it with 350 miles. It has every option offered on the window sticker. It has a nice conservative color combination with stripe delete however I do have the wider, not svt narrow funny looking ones,stripe kit in matte black to match the grills, roof etc in a box that go with the car so no stripes on the seats also. It has the SVT and electronics package, car cover and the ford transferable extended warranty. Further extras include loc pick for nav system that includes rear and front(great for parking close to cement stops) cameras, on the move DVD, a Trinity tuner, hood struts, oil catch can separator, extra cobra mats and extra convertible boot. The car is perfect, no scrathes, dents etc, never driven in bad weather, never raced, no big burn outs again older adult driven only. Car is very fast and sounds great. On open road I have even gotten 23 mpg. I have changed the oil 3 times already with top synthetic oil and filters. One of the most important facts for a buyer is that I have a clear CT title with no liens ever!
